SUSAN COOPER
SECRETARY
Susan Cooper grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Carson Newman College. After working for almost thirty years with BellSouth (now AT&T) she retired to live in the east Tennessee mountains. After moving to Townsend, Susan became involved in the Townsend Artisan Guild where she's served on the board and most recently as President. TAG provides a space for a community of artists to learn and grow and to exhibit and sell their artwork. Susan joined the Foothills Craft Guild in 2012.
She became interested in photography in the mid-1970’s and has seriously pursued the art of photography since retiring. Susan began to study – reading and learning from many nature and fine art photography professionals. She considers herself a ‘technical’ person and used those skills as a foundation for her creative eye to shoot, process, and develop vivid and natural images. Susan continues to explore the arts from both the technical and artistic aspects but also as an element of well-being that enhances her quality of life.
