A member of Foothills first in 1969, and again in 2002 juried in fiber. While living in Oak Ridge worked as an art teacher for the Oak Ridge Schools. In 1972 served one year as artist-in-residence with the Roanoke, Virginia, City Public Schools. Worked for Southern Highland Craft Guild for 17 years filling positions of marketing manager, fair coordinator, assistant director, acting director and executive director, and was also assistant director for the SHCG Folk Art Center. In 1990 took a sales position with APS, Inc., a regional tourism-related company based in Charlotte, NC, and served as sales manager for East TN, SW Virginia and was based in Gatlinburg. Rejoined Foothills in 2002.
While serving on the Board would like to make a post-pandemic effort toward allowing members a feeling of belonging and being connected through FCG, and surveying members to seek individual goals/objectives thereby creating a road map for the FCG future.
