Demonstration Opportunities at the 56th Annual Fine Craft Show, Nov 4-6
Part of the mission of the Craft Guild is to educate the community about the richness and diversity of crafts practiced in our region. Demonstrations are a great way to provide education to visitors at our Annual Fine Craft show and also do a little marketing for yourself and your craft. We are offering two different options for demonstrators this year as described below. If you are interested, please contact us by September 20 by emailing us here.
Featured Demonstrator
Three 10 X 5 booth spaces are being reserved for this option.
Members can sign up for a 10 X 5 booth space for the full weekend. The demonstrations are expected to be a focus in the booth throughout the show, though with no set schedule required. Sales are allowed, and you might want to enroll a booth assistant to help with processing sales. Storyboards and other props are encouraged. Tables, coverings, lights etc. are responsibility of the exhibitor.
The board is finalizing the booth fee and commission rate for this new size of demo booth at the September board meeting. If you are interested in this option, please let us know by September 20! There are only three booths available, and those on the list will get first refusal rights! When the board has approved the new fees, we will email the interested parties first, and if any are left, we will offer them in the next newsletter. These spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so sign up soon!
Spotlight Demonstrator
There will be a double booth for two-hour demonstration sessions during each day of the show. Members are invited to demonstrate their craft for a 2-hr time period and showcase samples of their finished work. Storyboards are encouraged, but not required. The space will be outfitted with two tables and chairs for both the presenter and chairs for the audience. No sales will be permitted but handing out flyers and business cards is fine. We hope to appeal to members who are not able to participate with a sales booth this year, but exhibitors are welcome to come share their craft.
A schedule of demonstrators and times will be posted at the show.
Available time slots:
Fri and Sat: 10-12, 1-3, & 4-6. Sun 10-12 and 1-3.
Slots are already filling up, so please email the Demo Subcommittee by clicking here if you are interested!
